The Throat Chakra, also known as the 5^th Chakra enables one to communicate with truth and clarity. This chakra is located between the collarbone and its energy radiates from the heart to the middle of the eyes.

When the Throat Chakra is in balance, you will be able to communicate effectively and clearly and with conviction. It allows our voice to be heard. When this chakra is overactive, there is a tendency to talk too much and too loudly and be poor listeners.

On the other hand, when the Throat Chakra is underactive, it will be a struggle to express ourselves and as such, feel ignored and unable to express our true emotions. This will cause one to be aloof and withdrawn. Some health issues that can sore manifest as a result of an unbalanced Throat Chakra are sore throats, infections, ulcers and even cavities.

Crystals are often used in crystal healing therapies to help balance the chakras.

The color that represents the Throat Chakra is blue and the crystals that can be used to balance the Throat Chakra are Amazonite, Angelite, Aquamarine, Lapis Lazuli and Blue Sapphire.
